Founded in 1967 the Haslemere and District Dog Training Club (HDDTC) is probably the longest operating dog training club in the area. Our various Trainers have a built up a wealth of experience and regularly attend refresher courses and explore new training techniques.
The club initially used facilities in Haslemere but soon required larger ones and moved to Grayshott Village Hall where the club still trains.
In 1968 the Club was registered with the Kennel Club. All the training curriculum is overseen by the Kennel Club and the club currently offers Puppy Training Classes, Training for the Kennel Club Good Citizens awards with dogs progressing through Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of achievement. The club also has a very active Agility Training section with instructors who have been successful in National Competitions with their own dogs.
The club is run on a not for profit basic by a committee of volunteers (although trainers are paid) and some of our surplus supports a different dog charity each year.
Our next term of puppy classes starts on 3rd September 2026. If you have an interest in joining our puppy classes please Click Here to express your interest and the club will be in contact with you.

Our training takes place at Grayshott Village Hall. The Village Hall has three main halls and on training evenings we use all three halls each used to deliver a specific class. As we have indoor training facilities our training sessions are not disrupted or cancelled due to poor weather. In the summer months we also have access to secure outdoor fields.
